Succat Hallel (Hebrew for 'Tabernacle of Praise') is a dynamic community ofworshippers and intercessors from five continents drawn together tostand as 'watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem'. We all have the common desire to minister first unto the Lord, to pray for the peace ofJerusalem, and intercede for Israel and the nations.

Our team consists of believers of all ages from around the world committed to serving in prayer room watches as well as performingadministrative functions for the ministry. This is an excellentopportunity to use the gifts the Lord has given you. We particularly need worship leaders, musicians and those who will serve in the nightwatch. Our entire staff are volunteers and we all raise our own support.

Short-Term Worker Program

Free short-term housing is available* to those taking part in our 3-month short-term volunteer program who commit to 30 hours per week at Succat Hallel.

The program is made up of 10 prayer room hours that Succat Hallel specifies, a further 10 hours in the prayer room that you choose, 5-10 hours practical help at Succat Hallel (cleaning, admin, etc) and about 5 hours serving in one of 3 compassion ministries around the city that we recommend. We also have a monthly team meeting/shabbat meal attendance at which is required.

We provide free housing in a shared apartment with bunk beds, subject to availability. Each apartment is overseen by one full-time staff person from Succat Hallel who also lives at the apartment. Rent is free; however we ask for 250 shekels (about $60) per month towards utilities. Food and all other personal expenses are the responsibility of the individual. (* We are unable to provide short-term housing for couples or families, but hope to do so in the future.).

Long-term, Full-time Staff

Anyone joining Succat Hallel staff long-term first participates in the 3-month short-term program as above. After the initial 3-month period, you can apply for full-time staff which is subject to a further approval process. Full-time staff find and fund their own apartments, often sharing with others who are looking for their own place.
